Comment(s): Although the title of our example is the same, this drawing is not from the book “25 Cats Name (sic) Sam and One Blue Pussy,” published by Warhol with his mother’s collaboration in 1954. Both Warhol and his mother had a passion for cats and they were all named Sam except for one called Hester. They had so many cats that friends remember them constantly giving away kittens (courtesy Wikipedia).
