Lot Note(s): Stamped with the photographer's name, verso. Edition unknown, presumed small. High-grade archival paper. Printed to the edge of the sheet. Fine, quality printing. Very good to fine condition; affixed to very thin and supple archival acid-free support sheet, not mount/board. Literature/catalogue raisonne: GNC95. Comment(s): Other than our example this image was printed solely as a platinum print and is extremely rare. Christie’s noted in 1994 that only four prints of this image were extant, with only one in private hands. An example of this work, presumably the print referenced by Christie’s, sold for $216,000 at Sotheby’s New York, 10/10/2005, lot #9.
