Corlett writes: "Lichtenstein created this image specifically for use on the cover of Frederic Tuten's "Tintin in the New World" (New York: William Morrow and Company, Inc.,1993). The cover is protected by a transparent plastic book-jacket overlay, on which the title of the book and the author's name are printed. A Lichtenstein drawing, 'Interior with Painting of Tintin,' (1992), also designed specifically for use in the book, appears as the frontispiece (see cat. no. III.17)."
