Very good to fine condition; affixed to conservation mount. Comment(s): Mexican stagecoach views from this period are virtually unobtainable. Gove's early photographs of Mexico are very rare and extremely important in the history of Mexican photography. Sometime in the late 1880s or early 1890s he entered into a partnership with F. E. North, the company becoming known as Gove & North. Gove later travelled to Los Angeles, where he became an intregal part in the formation of the motion picture business. His seminal role in this industry has unfortunately gone largely unheralded. [22957-2-400]
